SERVICE SCOPE
Build the cleaning sequence around the handover.
Scope options to discuss
- Rough-clean tasks after agreed trade milestones
- Fine dust on accessible surfaces and fixtures
- Kitchenettes, washrooms and finished common areas
- Final detailing against an agreed handover checklist
Agree these items separately
Trade waste, paint or adhesive removal, exterior access and re-cleaning after further construction should be listed separately. Hazardous materials require their own assessment.
Your written quote defines the included tasks, exclusions and responsibilities.
ACCESS & SCHEDULING
Fit the work around your facility.
Timing and access
Identify when trades finish, utilities become available and the building must be handed over. Additional trade visits after the final clean can create a need for further work.
Before the site assessment
Provide drawings, floor area, finish schedules and the handover checklist. Confirm waste responsibilities, lift bookings, water and power, and who will sign off the completed scope.
SERVICE QUESTIONS
Before you request a quote.
Can the work be split into stages?
Include the rough-clean, detail-clean and handover dates you need. Access and trade completion can then be assessed for each stage.
Is removal of builders’ waste included?
State the material, quantity and disposal responsibilities in your enquiry. Bulk waste handling should not be assumed to be part of a final detail clean.
What if trades return after cleaning?
Agree how additional dust, damage or re-cleaning will be documented and priced. A clear handover point helps separate the original scope from new work.
